What is the NDIS? + −
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia's national scheme that provides funding to eligible people based on their individual needs. It provides participants with more choice and control over how, when and where their supports are delivered.
Am I eligible for the NDIS? + −
To be eligible for the NDIS, you must be under 65 years of age when you first apply, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa or Protected Special Category visa, live in Australia, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities.

Funding and Payments

How is my NDIS funding managed? + −
NDIS funding can be managed in different ways: self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed. Each option offers different levels of control and responsibility over your funding and how you pay for supports.
What happens if I run out of funding? + −
If you're concerned about running out of funding, contact your NDIS Local Area Coordinator or Support Coordinator. They can help review your plan and discuss options for plan reviews if your circumstances have changed.
